J.R.R. Tolkien
August 18th, 2006
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien is my favorite fiction book. I deeply appreciate Tolkien’s love of ancient ages and languages. Because of this love and his literary ability, The Lord of the Rings has, as Tolkien would put it, “the inner consistency of reality” (from Tolkien’s “Essay on Fairy-Stories”). His writing is a witness to the existence and beauty of universal truth.
